Your body is a self healing machine. Just like a seed will sprout if it is given the right environment, so will you body heal itself if you can be deeply relaxed. Our recording will help you go into the deep relaxation state.

  • How to motivate ourselves to exercise?

    Extract from our February 14th, 2013 newsletter.

    Start small, baby steps work the best.

    Start small always. Take baby steps when you start a new habit. Be kind to yourself and have patience. Remember there are no failures, only experiences with learnings.
      
    Pre-requisites:
    • Desire to exercise
    • Commitment
    • Persistance
      
    Recommended Process:
      
    • Start with making a commitment to exercise. Commiting to even 5 minutes or 10 minutes in a day is great. In setting a habit, time is immaterial. What is important is getting into a rhythm. Once the rhythm is established you can increase the time.
      • Decide on an exercise that is fun for you. It could be some sport such as shooting balls in the basketball hoop, playing ping pong, walking, gardening, some other sports, deep breathing etc.

       

      • Check your progress every day. I like to do it at night before I sleep. I review my goals and see what I accomplished. This creates accountibility to yourself.

       

      • Recommit every night before sleeping to exercise the next day.   

       

      • Be persistent for 30 days. It takes about a month to set up a new habit.

       

      • Now the habit should be set. You can increase the time and/or intensity of exercise now.

       

      • Exercise does not have to be in the Gym only. You can find creative ways to move your body. Park your car further away so you walk a little extra. Go to the furtherest restroom in your office building. Carry your groceries instead of getting a cart, don't use a remote to change TV channels, walk to the TV. Finding time to exercise may be difficult when motivation is less, so find ways to add a little exercise to your daily routine. In fact, doing this is great even when motivation is high.
          
        If this does not work, contact me for hypnothearpy. With hypnotherapy, we can reprogram your subconscious mind and increase motivation really fast. It's like installing a program in the your computer between the ears (your brain!).

  • Why is deep breathing important?

    January 2013

    Our January 2013 newsletter was focused on learning importance of deep breathing, how does it help us promote better physical, mental and emotional health, ways of deep breathing and much more. We started a support system on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/KarunaHealingCenter) for helping our friends and fans to cultivate the habit of deep breathing.

    We raffled Deep Relaxation Recordings to 5 fans. This recording helps you to reduce stress, start the internal self  healing process of your body, to refresh, rejuvenate and re-energize you.

    We raffled $150 worth of services to all fans who LIKED our facebook page in December 2013. The lucky winner was Kumari Pathirana. Kumari had the option to enjoy either 2 Hypnotherapy sessions or 3 Reiki sessions.  Hypnotherapy works well in person or on phone. One can do distance Reiki so location was not a factor in entering the raffle.

    We shared simple tips for Managing Stress in the november 2012 newsletter. An extract from the newsletter follows:


    Bad food habits and stress do not go well together. Your body needs good nutrition to manage the stress related harmones in the body. When you are feeling stress, it is important to follow a healthy diet during that period. Of course healthy diet is always good but it is really important during stress

    Take time out to do something fun for yourself. Fun generates good endorphins in the body which combat the stress harmones and helps to bring the body back into the para-sympathetic mode, the normal mode for the body.

I've always considered therapy to help my relationship issues but never went forward and acted upon it.
