Today as I was having my morning tea in my yard, I was reflecting on my journey into healing and thought I would share some insights with you. I started shifting careers in 2007. I was a program manager/project manager in Information Technology (IT) companies. Without intention of changing careers, the Universe guided/ pushed me out of my comfort zone into a new life. My brief story about that is on my website.

As I am preparing for my first Reiki class this year (sounds weird as I used to do more classes in a year teaching Reiki), I was reviewing my Reiki journey. I started my career shift as a hypnotherapist. That itself was a huge shift for me and I did struggle to make this shift. More so because it was not what I wanted to do but it was the Universe pushing me into it. My logical mind could not understand why I needed to make this shift. I was doing very well in IT, always been in the top 5% of all companies I worked for. As I started my hypnotherapy practice, I realized I was feeling drained of energy. I had only a few clients yet I was so exhausted. I am used to working long crazy hours in my IT career so I was baffled. I knew something was happening with my energy so I started learning about energy. Got books from library, spoke to many energy healers. I wanted to know what is going on with my energy and what can I do about fixing my energy. How can I move into a career of healing and not be able to assist more than a couple of clients a week.

The Universe guided me to Reiki. I had heard about Reiki decades ago but never felt any pull towards it. Now I felt I needed to learn it. It was not about adding this to my healing practice. It was just for me to balance my energies. I found a wonderful teacher and did my first Reiki Level 1 class with her. She intuitively felt I had healing hands. I started practicing giving myself Reiki nearly every day. My energy levels started becoming stable again and I could sense a shift happening within me. After a few months I did Reiki level 2 class. I started offering free 15 minutes reiki healing to my existing hypnotherapy clients whoever expressed an interest.

Reiki helped me create a strong energy foundation within me on which I could build a healing practice, I could build myself. We are all energy beings. To build a house, one needs a strong foundation. Reiki was/is my foundation. IT aligns my energy field, IT has guided me on my new career, IT increased my creativity giving me new ideas on how to assist others, move my healing practice forward, learn who I am. I strongly believe my hypnotherapy practice was being build solid on my Reiki foundation. Reiki is amazing, it is a conscious spiritually guided energy. IT started guiding me to the right resources, right people, right clients, to find my office space.

Another way Reiki helps me personally is in cleansing, expanding my energy. We carry emotional baggage from many lifetimes and this clutters our energy field. It restricts us from reaching our goal, seeing the truth. Reiki guided me to new tools of healing. Compassion healing is my own healing modality. It is a platform on which many healing techniques lies. Reiki guided me to learn Pranic healing, metaphysics, explore new dimensions, open me up to other realms, to new spiritual masters. I am very committed to my inner journey. Reiki has helped me and continues to help me today in cleansing a lot of emotional, mental, spiritual baggage that I have from many lifetimes. We have been stuffing emotions in our energy field for lifetime after lifetime as we did not have tools to help us handle emotions. We have created this utterly wrong belief system that time heals. Time does not heal, it only buries things deeper within us so we cannot consciously remember our hurts, pains, wounds. However deep or shallow it is buried in our energy, we are being impacted every moment of our life. Our journey is about cleansing and expanding our energy field. When we leave this Earth we take nothing with us but our energy field. This determines our next lifetime. We build on each lifetime till we reach enlightenment in one particular lifetime.

There is so much to cleanse, it can take lifetimes. We just have to start at one point. Reiki is a professional tool and works across lifetimes. It is so simple to use, just laying off hands. No pre-requisite. No spiritual knowledge. You can start wherever you are at this moment. I am a totally different person now than I was 10 years ago. I am amazed how much I have grown over the decade. I am able to accept myself more deeply. A decade ago I was trying to fit in with others, working really hard to hide my unique eclectic views, hide who I really was. With energy healing, I am learning each day to express who I am without hiding. I am different from most people, I have unique abilities, unique ways of looking at life, ability to move between realms of consciousness, to open portals for others. My path is about sharing unconditional love and wisdom with others. I am constantly working on expanding my heart center, bringing more self love within me, sharing from place of love with others. I see my clients as extensions of me, I feel so much love for each and every client I work with. Reiki has been my special blessing from the Universe, my manna from heaven :). I realize that hypnotherapy, life coaching are also energy work. Thoughts are energy, beliefs are energy, everything is energy.

I strongly recommend that you learn some energy healing modality. Reiki is an amazing tool. There is no one who can cleanse your energy field completely for you. The reason being there is so much to cleanse. Energy healers like me can do a lot of cleansing for you. But there is tons more left to clean. I work on myself 7 days a week. I have been doing this for years. It is an on going process. The journey to enlightenment, to enjoying greater happiness in your life needs self effort. That is why I lay so much emphasis on teaching, on life coaching, on classes with my clients. Learning will empower you. The more you practice Reiki, the clearer your energy channels become. The more you expand in consciousness, the greater your alignment to your life purpose.

I thank the Universe for taking me on this journey, of bringing me to Reiki. It has been a life changing milestone in my life. I am still work in progress. The unconscious is so large. I do get triggered at times but I have so many tools now to learn from my triggers and grown. I don't remain stuck in my experiences. My focus and commitment to my life purpose has grown so much. My expansion into my multi-dimensional self is a true blessing.

If you want to improve your life, your health, your joy, peace, wisdom put in the time and effort to learn a professional healing modality. Reiki is one of these professional tools. So much research is now proving the benefits of Reiki in a scientific way.
